We’re hiring!

Join the Forum for Young Canadians Team

Be part of something inspiring! The Democratic Engagement Exchange, in partnership with the Rideau Hall Foundation, is hiring dynamic and passionate staff to help deliver the Forum for Young Canadians National Summit — a once-in-a-lifetime experience that empowers youth from across Canada to engage with our democracy in action.

The Forum National Summit will take place over three separate weeks in February and March 2026:

  • February 8–13, 2026

  • March 8–13, 2026

  • March 22–27, 2026

Each week, the Forum will welcome approximately 100–120 youth participants from across Canada for an immersive program of workshops, discussions, and collaborative activities - all designed to inspire youth to engage meaningfully with Canada’s democracy.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking motivated, inclusive, and youth-focused leaders who:

  • Have experience working with youth, preferably in educational, leadership, or community engagement settings.

  • Are committed to fostering inclusion and creating a safe, empowering environment for young participants.

  • Thrive in team-based, fast-paced environments and can adapt to evolving program needs.

If you’re passionate about supporting young leaders and want to help create a transformative national experience, we’d love to have you on the team.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative and inclusive team environment

  • Hands-on experience in youth engagement and civic education

  • An opportunity to contribute to a national initiative empowering young Canadians

Commitment Requirement

All team members must be available in Ottawa for the full duration of the program, including a mandatory in-person training session on Saturday, February 7, 2026, followed by the three program weeks listed above. This ensures consistency, collaboration, and the best possible experience for participating youth.

Application Deadline

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Friday, November 28th.

We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and abilities. Accommodations are available throughout the recruitment process upon request.
