The Canadian Delegation at the Athens Democracy Forum 2026
The 2026 Canadian Delegation to the Athens Democracy Forum brings together top leaders across civil society, academia, philanthropy, industry, and politics to amplify Canada’s voice on the world stage. Following a landmark 2025 mission, the delegation expands its reach to strengthen the vital networks—both at home and abroad—needed to defend and advance democratic institutions.
This year’s mission also features 20 student fellows from the Faculty of Arts, Toronto Metropolitan University. Alongside the main forum programming, they will participate in dedicated youth initiatives, including the Reclaim the Dialogue Civic Summit and the Reclaim Democracy Rally.
In an era of rising polarization and global strain, protecting democracy requires looking outward, empowering new leaders, and taking cross-sector action. The 2026 Canadian Delegation connects established decision-makers and emerging civic voices with global experts to actively shape a more resilient democratic future.
