Join a diverse, cross-sectoral Canadian delegation to the Athens Democracy Forum this September.

In a time of global democratic strain, Canada has an opportunity to lead. The Canadian Agora connects frontline practitioners, civil society leaders, and next-gen advocates to turn international insights into a practical roadmap for a resilient Canada.

Program Highlights

Under the 2026 theme Building Order Out of Chaos, the forum serves as a dynamic ecosystem connecting a wide variety of global changemakers through specialized tracks and modules:

  • Philanthropy & Civil Society: The Philanthropy Circle for strategic grantmakers and an NGO Innovation Showcase featuring frontline grassroots solutions.

  • Policy & Governance: High-level debates on democracy's identity crisis, a dedicated Policymakers’ Caucus, and an AI and Ethics Module.

  • Next-Gen Leadership: The International Youth Symposium for university fellows and the Teens for Democracy initiative focusing on digital civic challenges.
