Join the Team: AKFC Youth Leadership Academy 2026
Are you a passionate leader, organizer, or mentor looking to make a meaningful impact this summer? The Democratic Engagement Exchange at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), in partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), is hiring 16 dynamic individuals across 4 distinct roles to support the 2026 Youth Leadership Academy.
The Youth Leadership Academy is a fully funded, 5-day in-person convening dedicated to educating and inspiring young Canadians to engage with global issues and foster global citizenship. This year, the academy takes place at York University in Toronto from July 26 – August 1, 2026.
Together, our team will ensure a safe, inclusive, well-organized, and deeply empowering experience for youth traveling from coast to coast.
Overview
Location: York University, Toronto, ON
Program Dates: July 26 – July 31, 2026 (Plus an on-site training day on Saturday, July 25)
Core Requirements: Must be 25 or older + pass a police background check.
